Cook County Assessor candidate Kari Steele announced a fundraiser on her facebook page stating,
“Happy Holidays, Team Steele! I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to like, follow, and share information about my campaign. Your support is appreciated. Will you share this holiday party invitation and invite a friend or family member to support my efforts as I run for Cook County Assessor?”
The event will be held on December 17th from 5:30 to 7:30pm at Uproar, 1252 N Wells, Chicago.
Steele is taking on Fritz Kaegi who ran on restoring equity to the property tax system, yet southland communities pay substantially more in taxes than wealthier white communities according to a study by Southland Journal.
