SOUTH HOLLAND, Ill. A bed bug infestation has been found at Thornwood High School in South Holland. Principal Don Holmes said bed bugs were found in some parts of the school.
The bugs were found to be present in the cafeteria and other parts of the grounds.
Rest assured that the administration is fully committed to the well-being of our students, staff, and the entire school community,” a statement from Holmes read in part. “We will closely monitor the situation and take all necessary measures to prevent any further disruptions to our learning environment.”
According to statements, professional exterminators will be treating the infestation over the weekend. Sprays will be used in the infected areas.
