Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard has been accused of misusing public funds, among other charges. Trustees say they have not been shown records addressing city finances and there is now a 7 million dollar defecit.
According to reports, 4 trustees are intending to hire formed mayor Lori Lightfoot to conduct an investigation into Henyards practices and behavior. Lightfoot is an attorney and former federal prosecutor, though she would not have subpeona power.
